In 2021, Composer Margaret Brandman was commissioned by violinist and musical director, Vov Dylan firstly to arrange her existing violin and piano work 'Jucaro Rhumba d'Amor' for the 'Vov Dylan Palace Orchestra', and subsequently to compose another seven works in Latin-American dance styles for this seven-piece ensemble. These eight works now comprise Margaret Brandman's 'La Vida Apasionada' suite. This intimate trio performance of the suite by composer/pianist Margaret Brandman together with Vov Dylan on Violin and Nicole Murray-Prior on Double Bass, was filmed in June 2022 at Elkwood Studios located in the elegant music salon at Wentworth Park estate in the Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia. In addition, the performance is prefaced with an interview segment where Vov Dylan converses with composer Margaret Brandman about the genesis of the suite.
