Fisioterapia which is the official publication of the Asociación Española de Fisioterapéutas (Spanish Association of Physical Therapists), was founded in 1969 and is the top journal of this specialty published in Spanish. The Journal, which publishes 6 issues per year, promotes evidence-based practices in basic and applied research. Fisioterapia publishes studies about physical therapy in all its aspects, including healthcare, disabilities and physical therapy. The Journal publishes articles about treatment methods, diagnostic factors, prevention, development and maintenance of maximum movement, functional abilities, and healthcare levels of individuals and communities. All articles undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. Fisioterapia, pwhich publishes articles in Spanish or in English, is comprised of the following sections: Editorials, Original Articles, Review Articles, Case Reports and Letters to the Editor.
